A FRESH APPROACH TO BOOKING YOUR HOLIDAY
Our holidays are "unpackaged" (i.e. we don't charge an inclusive price to include accommodation, flights and transfers) to provide you with more choice, more flexibility and better value for money.
Value for money
- Separating the accommodation and flight costs allows you to shop around for the best flight price.
- You will find that our accommodation prices are very competitive, especially bearing in mind the quality of the holiday which you will be buying .
- The prices offered by some package tour operators may not be as good as they might first appear. An example of this would be a price based on six sharing a two bedroom apartment with hefty under-occupancy supplements for less than six sharers. Our pricing is straightforward and shows the cost of the accommodation per week (not per person). Our prices are based on a sensible number of sharers (having regard to the size of the accommodation) and there are no under-occupancy supplements.
Freedom of choice and flexibility
- by specialising in one area, we are able to offer a wider choice to suit all tastes and pockets
- wider choice of departure airports
- choose the flight times most convenient for you
- choose between a hire car delivered to the airport or taxi transfers
Personal service
- We offer a really personal service - one which the large, mass market operators can't attempt to match. When you telephone your booking, for example, you will be talking to someone with first-hand experience of the island and of our accommodation. If there is any information which you can't find on this web site or if you have any special requirements, please let us know - we'll be pleased to help.
24 Hour telephone service
- Our reservations and administration departments are open from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., Monday to Friday and 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. on Saturday. Closed on Sunday. A telephone answering service is available at other times.
SIX STEPS TO BOOKING YOUR HOLIDAY
1. Choose your resort
- The most important factor in deciding where to stay is likely to be whether you like your resorts busier or quieter. Corralejo is the islands main resort with a large selection of shops, bars and restaurants and because you can walk to most places in Corralejo, you wont have to worry about drinking and driving. In our experience, families with older children often choose Corralejo because it has more to appeal to teenagers than our other resorts (although it is certainly not disco city!).
- Small and rustic, El Cotillo offers a complete contrast to a busy resort like Corralejo. Its essential charm is that it has retained its sleepy, village atmosphere and although tourist facilities are now being developed, they remain low-key and unobtrusive. Accommodation is limited in El Cotillo and tends to be of a more basic standard than in Corralejo. The beaches are delightful, offering peace and tranquillity in a back-to-nature setting.
- Parque Holandes is also quieter, with limited amenities, although the sand dune beaches and the main resort of Corralejo are within easy driving distance.
- La Casita Rincon at Lajares remains a firm favourite with those who enjoy the countryside setting of this delightful, rural community and we now offer impressive countryside villas in the villages of Villaverde and La Oliva.
- Caleta de Fuste is a modern, purpose-built resort with shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. The gently shelving beach and shallow waters of the bay make this a popular choice with families. The recently completed, 18-hole golf course is the first on the island. Another is in course of construction next to it, so Caleta will shortly boast two golf courses!
2. Choose your Accommodation
- Time taken in choosing the right accommodation is time well spent. Ensure that it is suitable having regard to the size of your party and that it has the amenities which you require. If you need additional information, please telephone us, we will usually be able to provide the answer. In case your first choice is already booked, its a good idea, where possible, to have an alternative. Please note that most of our accommodation is let Wednesday to Wednesday (most flights from the UK are on Wednesdays). If you wish to travel on a day other than Wednesday, please let us know. We will do our best to meet your requirements.
3. Car Hire or Taxi Transfers?
- If you decide to hire a car, choose the type and decide whether you require baby/child seats or a roof rack. Taxis are readily available at an approximate, one way, cost of 12 euros to Caleta de Fuste, 24 euros to Parque Holandes, 37 euros to Corralejo, and 43 euros to El Cotillo.
4. Extras and Special Requirements
- While our reservations staff try to be as helpful as possible, we do rely on you to advise us of any extras or special requirements at the time of booking. These might include:
- baby seats, child seats or roof racks for hire cars
- extra beds (available in some types of accommodation), baby cots or high chairs (when available).
5. Telephone Reservations
- Our flexible approach means that you can arrange your own flights.
- If you are arranging your own flights, we will be pleased to put a hold on your chosen accommodation. This means that you can book your flights confident in the knowledge that the accommodation has been secured for you.
6. Complete the Booking
- You are now ready to complete the booking. For your convenience, reservations are taken by telephone or by completing a booking form. A booking deposit of 20% of the accommodation cost is payable at the time of booking. In all cases, holiday extras, where applicable, are payable at the time of booking. Please note that it is a booking condition that you are properly and adequately insured. The balance of the holiday cost is due for payment eight weeks prior to departure. You can pay by Switch, Connect, Delta, MasterCard or Barclaycard/Visa, Pay Pal or Bank Transfer. If you prefer to pay by cheque, we will normally reserve the accommodation for five days to allow time for your payment to arrive. Please make cheques payable to "Sunseeker Holidays".
