Driving Licences: All British, European, American and Australian licenses are valid.
Electrics: 220volts. 2 pin adaptor required.
Driving: Driving is on the right hand side.
Seatbelts: Compulsory in both the front and rear. Children under 12 years must travel in the back.
Duty Free: The Canary Islands is not a member of the EU. Duty free allowance is: 2 litres wine, 1 litre spirits, 200 cigarettes, 60cc perfume or 250cc toilet water.
Additional Extras
Car Hire, transfers, child seats & roof racks are charged for separately.
If you wish to pre book a Welcome Pack an additional cost of £30 will be made. Some properties provide a complimentary pack, this will be detailed in property details.
Cots & hire chairs can to booked in advance if they are not available in the property. Cot Hire £30p/w, High Chairs £20p/w.
Should you want us to arrange any plans in resort for a Special Occasion then charges will be made accordingly.
Where applicable, if pool heating or air conditioning is required as an addional extra, charges relevant to the property will be made.
Driving On The Island
Most Car Hire companies have a minimum age of 21yrs. Insurance, additional drivers, child seats & roof racks are charged as extras. When driving you must at all times carry identification (ie.passort & driving license) plus your hire agreement, failure to produce documents immediately will result in a fine. Most companies do not allow off road driving this will invalidate your insurance. Some companies do not allow cars to be taken to neighbouring islands like Lanzorote so check first. Seat belts are compulsary and children under 12yrs must use booster seat. Speed traps and cameras are in wide use now on the island so stick within the stated speed limit. Please remember 'drink driving' is illegal.
WiFi
If your property advertises wifi, this is usually 'pay as you go' and payable in resort. This service is provided by independant companies and Sunseeker Holidays accepts no responsibility for the provision or reliability of this service.
Booking Procedure
All bookings must be confirmed in writing. Once you have notified us of the booking, we will provisionally hold the dates for 14 days, untill receipt of deposit.
Upon receipt of your deposit we will send your confirmation, our terms and conditions and invoice for the final balance, which is due 8 weeks before departure please ensure you have read a copy of our booking ¨terms and conditions¨.
Upon receipt of the final balance, all information including maps, directions and access information will be forwarded to you.
Special requests must be put in writing at time of booking, we will make every effort to meet your request.
You can contact us at any time before your departure if you have any questions and we will be happy to help.
Pool Heating
Some pools are climatised, if you pay for pool heating or it is included in your cost then you can expect a water temperature of approximately 24-26 degrees.
Occupancy
If more people are staying in the property than has been booked and paid for, then the Management Company in resort will ask for additional payment to be made directly to them or the guests will have to vacate the property immediately.
The number of people staying in any property is restricted for insurance purposes. Maximum occupancy is specified under each propertys details. If the property is over occupied we will reserve the right to ensure that additional guests vacate the property immediately.
Arrival & Departure
You can enter the property from 4.00 pm. We ask that you vacate the property on the day of departure at 10.30 am prompt. Change over day is generally a Wednesday, though flexible depending on the property and availability.
Resort Support
All properties have information brochures, outlining health and safety, things to do, etc. The management team will visit after arrival and you will be given a help line number which you can contact should you encounter any problems with the property during your stay. The management company is there to help with property related issues. When booking through Fairways, you are booking as an independent traveler and there is no holiday representative.
Maid Service
All properties are cleaned weekly. If you are staying for 2 weeks then towels and linen will be changed after 7 days, as most of our properties are equipped with a washing machine.
Should you require additional cleaning services, this can be arranged at an additional charge.
Restrictions
We reserve the right to refuse reservations, at our descretion. For example, parties of 4 or more persons of the same sex.
Changes & Cancellations
IF YOU CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY – Sunseekers on behalf of the Owner will make the best effort possible to accommodate any changes that you request in respect of a confirmed booking. However, other than allowing you, or any member of your party, who is prevented from traveling, to transfer their booking to someone else, or allowing variation in the number in the party, within the maximum number allowed for the property, and provided that you give reasonable notice of the change, the property owner has no obligations to make any change, or refunds.
Changing dates is a major issue that may have to be dealt with by cancelling the original booking, thus allowing you to rebook on the required basis. The alteration request must be in writing and must be signed by the person who made the original booking. (any changes are authoised only by the property owner).
